Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading Craft Day Kick-off is Wednesday, May 29th, between 10:00-11:30 AM at the Kegoayah Kozga Public Library. This is a great day for students ages 8 to 13 to visit the library to register for the Summer Reading Program and learn how to make balloon animals! The balloon twisting program is recommended for ages 8-13.

Public Library's Summer Reading Program for ages 3 through 13. The
theme of this year's Summer Reading Program is:
"A Universe of Stories"
Visit the Library to register for the program starting Friday, May
24th. Each child will receive a Summer Reading packet including a log
book to list the titles of books you have read this summer and a log
sheet with stickers to record the time you have read this summer.

Camp CRAVE is a 4-day summer camp that focuses on healthy living. CRAVE stands for culture, recreation, active, values, and education. Some of the activities include: tobacco prevention, campfire activities, alcohol awareness, hiking, paddle boarding, suicide prevention and intervention, swimming, fishing, nutrition education, group games, cultural activities, and more!
Foxes is a day camp held Monday through Thursday at the AKMR camp past the Cape of Nome.Wolves and Bears are both sleep away camps held Thursday through Sunday at Bear Creak Fish Camp, located 2 miles downriver from Council (includes a boat ride).
Food, lodging, sweatshirt, and programing are all provided in the $40 camp fee. Space is limited, so don’t wait to register your camper!
Applications are due June 7th, but space is limited and are accepted as a first come first serve basis. A limited number of scholarships may be available; please contact NCC at 907-443-5259 for more about this.
Applications will be handed out at the Nome Elementary School and Boys & Girls Club, but may also be downloaded from the Nome Community Center website at: https://www.nomecc.org.

If you or your child want to learn more about having a BRILLIANT Lemonade Day stand, then this workshop is for you!
Wells Fargo is running a workshop on June 15, a Saturday, at the Richard Foster building. If the child or children is under the age of 8, then the workshop is from 1-2 pm. If your child or children are between the ages of 9 and high school senior, the workshop is from 2:30-3:30.
If you simply wish to sign and up and get a backpack, then you may come between 1 and 3:30.
