Volunteer Opportunities


Teacher Appreciation Week - May 5 - 9

For the past several years, the PTA has celebrated the week by providing baked goods and other treats for the teachers and other school staff. The items are placed in the teachers' lounges for everyone to enjoy.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are covered.  PTA needs to do something for Wednesday and Friday at each school. Please let me know if are willing to bake something or prepare a fruit or veggie tray. Remember, we are providing food for ALL the teachers AND other staff, so I need several people to volunteer for each day.

To volunteer in your child's classroom, please contact the teacher directly. Let them know that you have made the "Three for Me" pledge, and ask to be notified by email and/or phone call of volunteer opportunities in the classroom. Volunteer opportunities vary by classroom, but some examples are:
Homework grader
Chaperone for field trips
Reading to students 
Sharing your talents with the class
Party/potluck organizer
Recess supervision
Classroom organizer at the beginning of the school year
Display student work (help with bulletin boards)
Battle of the Books practice
Spelling Bee practice
